In the latest issue of Yankees Magazine, the editors devote two pages (26-27) for the publication’s annual Summer Reading List.

Nine books were selected for this year’s list, including Lonnie Wheeler’s “The Bona Fide Legend of Cool Papa Bell: Speed, Grace, and the Negro Leagues,” and Willie Mays and John Shea’s “24: Life Stories and Lessons From The Say Hey Kid.”

Also on the list: “Going 15 Rounds With Jerry Izenberg: A Collections Of Interviews With The Legendary Columnist,” which I self-published last year.
