About Ed Odeven

Thank you for visiting this page, which has been updated in November 2022.

I joined JAPAN Forward as a sports correspondent in May 2020. I currently serve as sports editor of JAPAN Forward and our related website SportsLook.

I am a former sports reporter and sports desk editor for The Japan Times. Before moving to Japan in 2006, I previously served as sports editor for the Arizona State University’s State Press and the Arizona Daily Sun, as well as handling other reporting and editing posts for various publications.

This site is an outlet for new projects spanning the globe and a place to post material from past projects.

In September 2020, I published an ebook on legendary sports columnist Jerry Izenberg. “Going 15 Rounds With Jerry Izenberg” was released in paperback on December 31, 2020.
