I recently submitted a short write-up on three books that topped my list in 2023, a trio of books that fit the bill as “my three favorite reads” of the year. Shepherd.com asked hundreds of authors (at last count it was 1,496, according to the website) to submit their list of three favorites with a short description of why they love these books.

It was quite difficult narrowing my list down to three, but I accomplished the task.
